Ask these before you book
Clear answers to these make a decision much easier.
- Will a licensed provider see me before any treatment?
- Who gives the treatment, and what is their license?
- What specific training do they have for it?
- What is the device or product, and why do you use it?
- What does a series involve, and how many visits is typical?
- What should aftercare look like?
- If something goes wrong, what happens next?
- Can I have the full cost in writing first?
Write it down first
Memory is unreliable when you are in an unfamiliar room with a lot of new information. A short written list keeps the conversation on track.
Put down your medical conditions, medications and supplements, allergies, and any cosmetic treatments you have had before. Add the questions you care about most. If you have photos of a skin concern that changes over time, you can bring those too.
When to pause
A consultation should feel like an exchange of information. If it feels like a sales pitch, take a step back.
Watch for pressure to commit on the spot, a treatment offered with no consultation, unclear answers about who does the work, or a reluctance to write down the total cost. Each of these is a reason to wait. To look up a license, search the website of the relevant Ohio state licensing board by the person's name.
Tell a provider in Cleveland what you would like to ask. You decide what happens after you talk.
